1 Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Limer (we, us, or the Controller) handles information when you use Limer – Therapy Timer on iPhone, the Limer companion app on Apple Watch, and the Limer Home Screen widget (together, Limer or the App).

This policy covers the App itself. A website, App Store, TestFlight, support service, or other service may involve additional processing under the relevant provider’s privacy information. Section 10 explains what happens if you contact us directly.

2 Privacy at a glance

Limer does not require an account and does not send personal data to us. The App has no Limer backend and includes no advertising, tracking, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, social-media SDKs, or external API calls.

Timers, presets, and settings remain on your devices. Operational timer information may pass between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. This device-to-device exchange is not available to us.

Despite its name, Limer does not ask for or store diagnoses, therapy notes, patient or client records, or other health information.

3 Information processed locally

Limer processes the following information locally to provide its timer functions:

We cannot access this locally stored information and do not use it to identify you.

4 Information Limer does not collect

Limer does not collect or transmit to us:

• your name, address, email address, or other account details;
• diagnoses, health data, therapy content, notes about patients or clients, or treatment information;
• location, contacts, calendars, photos, videos, microphone input, or audio recordings;
• payment information, advertising identifiers, tracking identifiers, or user profiles; or
• usage analytics or crash reports through an SDK embedded in Limer.

5 iPhone and Apple Watch communication

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, Limer uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework to exchange operational timer information between the paired devices. This may include a random timer ID, timer phase, selected duration, start time, warning time, end time, sound and light settings, and a synchronization counter.

This communication is handled by Apple’s operating systems. It does not pass through a Limer server, and we do not receive it. The Apple Watch feature requires a compatible, paired Apple Watch.

6 Home Screen widget and App Group

The Limer widget uses a local Apple App Group shared only by the Limer app and its widget. The App Group lets the widget display presets and hand a selected timer to the main app. A widget start request is removed after the app processes it. No widget information is sent to us.

7 Permissions and device functions

Notifications

Limer may request permission to send notifications and play notification sounds. These notifications provide a warning shortly before the timer ends and a completion alert, including when the App is not active in the foreground. iOS and watchOS control whether and how notifications are delivered. Limer removes its pending timer notifications when you stop or reset the timer.

Flashlight

Limer uses the iPhone camera system only to control the flashlight as an optional visual timer signal. Limer does not access camera images and does not take photos or record video. The flashlight signal is generally available only while Limer is active; delivery is not guaranteed while the iPhone is locked or the App is suspended.

Audio and haptics

Limer plays sound files included with the App and can use system haptics on Apple Watch. It does not use the microphone and does not make audio recordings.

8 Advertising analytics and tracking

Limer contains no advertising networks and does not track you across apps or websites. It does not display an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not perform tracking. It also contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK and makes no external API requests.

9 Apple services

Apple may process information independently when you download or update Limer through the App Store or TestFlight, use operating-system services such as notifications and WatchConnectivity, or choose to share device analytics and diagnostics with Apple and developers. This processing is controlled by Apple, your device settings, and Apple’s legal terms and privacy policy. We do not determine what Apple collects for its own purposes.

10 If you contact us

The App itself does not send us personal data. If you contact us by email or another support channel, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, attachments, and technical details you include. Please do not send therapy records, patient information, diagnoses, or other sensitive information.

We process support communications to answer your request, take steps at your request before entering into a contract, perform a contract where applicable, and protect our legitimate interest in operating and improving support. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) and, where appropriate, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If another legal basis applies, we will inform you where required.

Support email is handled using mailbox.org. This provider processes information in Germany.

We retain support correspondence until the request is resolved and generally delete it no later than the end of the third calendar year following resolution. We may retain information longer where this is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or to comply with a legal obligation.

11 Recipients and disclosures

We do not receive or disclose the timer data stored by Limer. Personal data from a support request may be accessible to the service provider identified in Section 10 and to professional advisers or public authorities where disclosure is legally required. We do not sell personal data.

12 Retention and deletion

Timer presets and settings remain locally on your device until you change them or remove the relevant App data. You can delete individual presets in Limer. Stopping or resetting a timer removes pending Limer timer notifications. Because Limer has no account or backend, there is no server-side Limer account data to delete.

You can remove local Limer data by deleting the App and its data from your devices, subject to how iOS and watchOS manage app containers, backups, and paired-device data. Apple controls any Apple-held backups or platform records under its own terms and settings.

13 Children

Limer is a general timer and is not designed to collect personal data from anyone, including children. The App does not require an account and does not knowingly transmit children’s personal data to us. If a child contacts us for support, a parent or guardian may contact us to exercise applicable rights.

14 Your data protection rights

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of personal data we hold about you; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; to receive certain data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Because Limer does not send its locally stored timer data to us, we cannot access, correct, export, or delete that device data for you. You control it through the App and your device. We can respond to rights requests concerning information we actually hold, such as a support email.

To exercise a right, contact limer@onthr.ee. We may need information sufficient to verify your identity and locate the relevant correspondence.

15 Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of an alleged infringement. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to address your concern.

16 International transfers

Limer does not transfer App data to us or to a Limer server, so the App itself does not initiate an international transfer to us. Support email is processed by mailbox.org in Germany. Apple may process information internationally under its own arrangements, as described in Section 9.

17 Security

Limer minimizes data by keeping timer information on your devices and by avoiding accounts, analytics, tracking, and a developer-operated backend. Device security also depends on your Apple device, passcode, operating-system settings, backups, and software updates. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

18 Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Limer’s features, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version at https://onthr.ee/limer/privacy-policy/ and change the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
